Kasteel de Haar has been rebuilt by construction master Dr. P. Cuypers, an assignment of baron Etienne van Zuylen van Nijevelt, based on the medieval ruine and became a monument of nineteenth century craftsmanship.

Arround the castle lays an immense park that was made 100 years ago under supervion of garden architect Henrie Copijn.

The castle, the impressive collection of antiques and artefacts, the surrounding park and the larger estate are all parts of a magnificent work of art. The complex as a whole is most definitely worth a visit.
